Silver....the costly truth

Take note ladies, because today we are discussing one of my favorite questions I receive as a stylist: Can I have silver hair and how much does it cost?
This question can strike fear inside every hairstylist because there is no easy answer.
Let me explain. If you walked into my salon with beautiful bright blonde hair and asked me to turn your hair silver I would ask you to take a seat and in two hours out you would go into the world with stunning silver locks ..... let me tell you this rarely happens.
Scenario number two...
My client is in asking for silver hair colour, she has dark brown hair which she has dyed herself several times....this is much more of a problem! You see hair has to be void of any colour if you want to achieve a silver tone. This is not something I could achieve in one appointment, this is something you have to build up to over a series of appointments.
The dark brown hair has to go through several different shades to lift up to very light blonde. This is hours of work and very costly. If the hair is not void of colour you risk your hair going green !!!
You will also be risking the condition of your hair, we can help with this by using products such as silaplex, an anti breaking treatment. But you guessed it this too is pricey (this is however liquid gold fir your hair and we would advise it in every colour)
So please please talk to your stylist, listen to the advice and enjoy the series of different colours you will go through to finally reach your goal ...we will get you there in time. xxx
